Suspected Cult Leader, Killed In Ughelli South Community

AN internal crisis involving  members of same cult group has led to the death of the suspected leader of the confraternity in Otokutu community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learned that the deceased victim identified as Amadi was stabbed to death by his cult group members for scolding them to be respectful.
According to sources, “Trouble started at a Snooker board arena when an elderly man at the spot was highly disrespected by suspected cultists that belonged to Vikings confraternity.
“As the leader of the cult commonly called Number 1, Amadi cautioned and opposed the action of his men toward the elderly man and it generated into a heated argument that was initially settled in the spot.
Not satisfied with the actions of the Number 1, some members of the confraternity, Amadi was ambushed by his fellow men while going home.
“During the encounter, a member named Alex stabbed him, and Amadi later died from the injury.
“Despite being a cultist and a Number 1 man Amadi was described as a jovial man who was married with 3 daughters.”
Another source disclosed that, Alex who work as a taskforce in the area had been sent to correctional center over similar incident when he killed someone some times ago before the killing of Amadi on Saturday.
“Despite knowing Alex was responsible, some Vikings initially blamed Eiye. When that narrative failed, they shifted accusations to Maphite and even attacked a Maphite member.
“They later accused Greenlanders all were moves in an attempt to distract and disorganize people from knowing the truth that the killer was their own member.
Unconfirmed report was  that police destroyed several snooker boards in the area, but there were no confirmed arrests at the time of this report.
Though the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Edafe Bright could not be contacted but a senior security source confirmed the incident.
The source said, ” When we got the information, the president general of the community cwas called and he said it was true and the community is working with our men to bring this situation under control.”
